Being the first to offer Autobids in the world of online bidding, Easy Live Auction knows the that the biggest frustration bidders face when placing Autobids is being ‘wrong-footed’.

Explanation:

As all of our Autobids are anonymous, the auctioneer does not see your top bid.

This means that in LIVE auctions, you may well be holding the bid at one increment below your top bid.

In this event, you’re winning the item at a lower price and cannot bid against yourself. This means that somebody else may have the chance steal your lot for your maximum bid.

In auction jargon, this is called being wrong-footed.

To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend using our +1 feature when leaving an Autobid.

This is our way of helping you to combat being wrong-footed – it means that the system will bid one extra increment for you should you find yourself in this scenario.

Presenting ‘Plus One’, a great new Autobid feature designed to help you win.

Being the first to offer Autobid’s in the world on online bidding, Easy Live Auction know the biggest frustration bidders face when placing Autobid’s is being ‘wrong-footed’. For those of you who are not familiar with this term it is probably better to give an example:

Imagine you place an Autobid of £40 on a particular lot and the auctioneer’s bidding increments are £5 between £20 and £50. You hold the bidding at £35 and then someone else bids £40 – Your maximum Autobid – how dare they!!!. With nowhere to go the system cannot bid anymore for you and you’ve lost the lot.

‘Plus One’ is here to help and swing things back in your favour. Now when placing an Autobid you can also select ‘Plus One’ (+1). This gives your bids extra clout and now our system will bid one extra increment for you, so if we take the example above our system would bid £45, increasing your chances of winning the lot!
